Aston Martin Vanquish Carbon Edition treads familiar waters (again)

Another day, another Aston Martin. The Paris Motor Show 2014 is currently home to the Vanquish Carbon Edition, which is a more aesthetically appetising version of the Coupe and Volante.

The engine is the same as usual. Usually we would vent our frustration at this point, but most cars don’t have a 6.0-litre V12 capable of developing 565bhp and 620Nm of torque. 0 to 62mph takes 3.6 seconds, while the top speed is 201mph so it’s adequately speedy, shall we say.

Confusingly, the Aston Martin Carbon Edition comes in Carbon Black and Stratus White. Either way, expect black side window surrounds, 10-spoke 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels, black headlight detailing on the headlights and revised brake calipers. In short, it looks the dog’s you-know-what.

Inside is a spot of Herringbone carbon fibre, quilted leather seating and a touch of black on the Bang & Olufsen speaker grilles. Nothing particularly exciting, but why fix something that isn’t broken, huh?

Expect to pay from £199,995 – £7,000 more than the standard car. Orders are open now.
