Amazon’s latest exclusive show Mozart in the Jungle will be hitting Prime Instant Video in the UK the day before Christmas Eve.
The comedy drama, based on Blair Tindall’s hit memoir, will take a look at the power struggles and often decadent lifestyles of a professional orchestra and features Lola Kirke of Gone Girl fame in the lead role.
All ten episodes of Mozart in the Jungle will land on Prime Instant Video with the debut performance arriving on December 23.
The show is being produced by Jason Schwartzman, Roman Coppola, Paul Weitz and John Strauss and features Saffron Burrows (Victoria Hand from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Hannah Dunne (Frances Ha).

Roman Coppola added: “Classical music has always interested me. By being part of this show I’ve been able to immerse myself in this fascinating world. I think the viewer will be equally as surprised and intrigued as I was with what goes on behind the curtain at the symphony.”
Like Ripper Street and Constantine, Amazon will drip-feed customers episodes of the new show every week, rather than letting everyone binge-watch their way through everything at once.
When all ten episodes have been released, subscribers will be able to gorge themselves in one go, if they prefer to wait and blitz through the whole thing in a single sitting.
Prime Instant Video is available online, iPad, Amazon Kindle and Fire devices and on most Android devices, albeit via a fiddly workaround. Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and 4 owners can tap into Prime Instant Video as can Wii and Wii U owners.
Kindle owners watching the show can make use of Amazon’s IMDb-powered X-ray feature, which pulls in cast information.
Mozart in the Jungle features a large number of guest stars, including Wallace Shawn (Gossip Girl) Jerry Adler (The Good Wife), Mackenzie Leigh (General Hospital), Nora Arnezeder (Safe House) Debra Monk (Damages) Santino Fontana (Frozen) and John Hodgman (Arthur), making it a sure fire hit with celeb spotters. The cast is completed by Gael Garcia Bernal (Rosewater) Peter Vack (I Just Want My Pants Back) and Malcolm McDowell.
