Cricket fans will be able to follow the 2013 Ashes tournament ball-by-ball from tomorrow with a new event centre featuring Hawk-Eye analysis tools.
Sky Sports subscribers at home or on the move can review every ball virtually using the same technology as the Sky Sports pundits in the commentary box.
The Ashes Event Centre on Sky Sports for iPad also lets viewers relive all the key moments like wickets and boundaries through a rolling session timeline, alongside detailed match statistics.

“The Ashes Event Centre is the UK’s most advanced second screen cricket app and allows Sky Sports subscribers to keep up with the defining moments of each and every Test Match.
“It’s the first time we’ve offered a dedicated second screen experience for our cricket coverage and it’s another example of our investment in the Sky Sports viewer’s experience.”
Alongside the same ball-by-ball coverage seen on Sky Sports Ashes – this summer’s name for Sky Sports 2 – iPad viewers can see live player statistics, scorecards, text commentary and a running social media feed featuring players, pundits and fans.
Nasser Hussain, former England captain and Sky Sports commentator, said: “The Ashes is always such an incredible part of the cricket calendar and it’s a competition that creates such excitement across the nation.
“This new app will give all those fans that are unable to watch at home the chance to catch up with every moment, whether they are at work or on the move.”
The Ashes Event Centre works alongside other dedicated control panels in Sky Sports for iPad, such as F1 Race Control and the Premier League Match Centre, plus all six Sky Sports channels live, Sky Sports News radio, and the latest sports news and interviews.
