BT Broadband customers get access to 11.6 million WiFi hotspots worldwide

BT Broadband customers can now access an extra 11.6 million WiFi hotspots across the world.

Thanks to a deal done between BT’s WiFi partner Fon and French ISP SFR, the number of wireless hotspots across the world that are open to BT Broadband subscribers has increased.

The Fon community is a global WiFi network of which BT is a part. BT Home Hubs have acted as Fon public hotspots as well as providing wireless internet access around people’s homes. British holidaymakers in France can hop on any hotspots marked “SFR WiFi Fon” provided they’re all set up with a BT Wifi account.
