EE to offer superfast broadband connections for free

Mobile operator and ISP EE has cut its £50 connection fee from its superfast unlimited fibre broadband packages in a bid to boost its subscriber figures.

The move comes just after the company raised its monthly broadband charges. Existing EE, T-Mobile and Orange UK customers also get a further £10 per month discount on prices.

Its Unlimited Standard Broadband (up to 16Mbps) plus UK Weekend Calls costs  £3 a month for the first 12 months (£6 afterwards). While its Unlimited Standard Broadband (up to 16Mbps) plus UK Anytime and Mobile Calls costs  £6 a month for the first 3 months (£11 afterwards).

Its Fibre Broadband (up to 38mbps) plus UK Weekend Calls costs £8 a month for the first 3 months (£16 afterwards). With UK Anytime and Mobile Calls, this costs £10.50 a month for the first 3 months (£21 afterwards).

For those wanting (and can get) connectivity up to 76Mbps, its Unlimited Fibre Broad with UK Weekend Calls will cost £13 a month for the first 3 months (£26 afterwards) while the same speeds with UK Anytime and Mobile Calls will set you back £15.50 a month for the first 3 months (£31 afterwards).

The deals come with a 12-month contract for standard broadband and 18 months for Fibre. Customers also have to pay line rental at £15.40 a month (£11 pre-paid).

Customers also get 12 months of McAfee internet security, access to the online EE Film streaming service and two for one cinema tickets every Wednesday.
