Orange is the New Black Season 3 confirmed on Twitter

Netflix’s favourite women-in-jail drama Orange Is The New Black has been confirmed for a third season.

Writers of the show, Netflix’s most watched original series in 2013, posted on their Twitter feed a picture of almost certainly fake (and NSFW) titles for future episodes.

Elsewhere Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause posted the picture on her Instagram page with the caption “It’s official!! Season 3!! #oitnb#alexvause#backtothebighouse”.

Guess who’s back? Orange is the New Black confirmed for a third sentence

Netflix has also confirmed the news, but no official statement has been released. The second season of the show, which was commissioned before the first one even aired, is due to arrive on Netflix on June 6 and the first season was released in July 2013.

From this we can expect to see the third season arriving around about the same in 2015, although pending an official announcement we won’t know for sure.

As well as becoming Netflix’s most watched original show last year, Taylor Schilling’s depiction of lead character Piper Kerman earned her a Best Actress in Drama Golden Globe nomination. She lost out to Robin Wright, who plays Claire Underwood in Netflix stablemate series House of Cards

House of Cards season 2 is av ailable to watch on Netflix now and is also available in 4K Ultra HDprovided you have the right equipment
