The Cloud brings free WiFi to Schuh shoppers

Not content with providing free WiFi at train stations and pubs, The Cloud is now bringing free WiFi to Schuh high street outlets.

Free WiFi will arrive in Schuh stores across the UK letting shoppers check for prices and show off Instagrammed pics of their just-bought Converse high tops, if they’re that way inclined.

Sean McKee, Head of Ecommerce and Customer Services at Schuh commented: “Over the past few years we’ve seen mobile devices enhancing in-store shopping behaviour. One of the major benefits of being able to access free internet is that customers can view our entire product range quickly and easily from their mobile – it offers a way of maximising convenience for each shopper.”

Let’s hope that shoppers don’t use the free WiFi to compare prices and buy footwear elsewhere online for less money.

Schuh is the latest high street brand to join the ever-growing free WiFi army. The Cloud also operates free WiFi networks in PizzaExpress, Caffè Nero, Eat, Greggs, Pret and Wagamama venues as well as Wetherspoons and Greene King pubs.

The Cloud is owned and operated by Sky. While being free to access in Schuh stores and most high street places where it’s available, The Cloud isn’t free everywhere. You can get monthly access to The Cloud’s entire network for as little as £6.95/month which gives you unlimited downloads.
