3G and Wi-Fi Motorola Xooms getting Honeycomb 3.1 update in the UK

Over-the-air updates to Android 3.1 Honeycomb for 3G-versions of the Motorola Xoom are rolling out now.

The update will bring improved multitasking and should provide a slicker, smoother user experience compared to 3.0. Adobe Flash Player and support for the microSD slot will also be included in the update along with support for Bluetooth and USB mice and keyboards and other peripheral devices.

Finally, our PS3 Sixaxis/Dungeon Defenders/Xoom dreams can now come true.

The update also brings with it the ability to transfer pictures directly from other cameras using the USB connection

Right now, the update will only be hitting 3G and Wi-Fi versions of the Xoom. We’re looking in to seeing how those of you with Wi-Fi-only versions of the device can get involved with the 3.1 fun.

As soon as we get the update on our Xoom, we’ll post up some pics along with our thoughts.
