The Acer Liquid Mini, announced earlier this year, has undergone a slight revamp updating it to Android 2.3 Gingerbread and coming in four new colours; blue, red, white and black.
As well as shipping with Gingerbread, the new Liquid Minis will feature an update to Acer’s custom UI (to version 4.2) which will, we’re told, give you greater freedom with things like widget placement and customisation.
One of the things that we didn’t like about the Acer Stream when we reviewed it was that the custom UI, while easy to use, didn’t offer much in terms of customisation. So we’re looking forwards to seeing this in the flesh, as it were.
The tiny phone which was announced in January, was originally due to ship with the older Android 2.2 Froyo. No word on the ETA of these colourful Gingerbreaded Liquid Minis just yet, we’ll keep you posted.
