BlackBerry online services crash for the second time in as many days

After outages in the BlackBerry online services yesterday that left thousands of ‘Berry users without access to their phones’ web capabilities, RIM have held up their hands today and admitted that they’ve once again gone temporarily offline.

BlackBerry owners suffered a 12-hour outage on Monday, which left them unable to send e-mails, browse the web or send messages over BBM. Twitter was apparently unaffected, however, as hundreds of irate ‘Berry users took to the web to broadcast their frustration.

RIM tweeted this morning from its official account that BlackBerry services were “operating normally”, just hours before everything went phut again at around 1pm UK time.

Like yesterday’s outage, this latest breakdown is reportedly affecting users in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. All of these areas are served by the same RIM centre in Slough. Having trouble with your BlackBerry today? Let us know in the comments (assuming you still can).
