First Windows Phone 7 Mango handset released: Fujitsu IS12T

The first new hardware running the Windows Phone 7 Mango update, Fujitsu’s IS12T has gone on sale in Japan.

Hopefully showing signs that the second generation of Windows phones (in the press release officially named Windows Phone 7.5) will have a more cosmopolitan look and spec sheet, the Fujitsu IS12T has a 3.7-inch LCD screen running at 800×480 resolution, and rocking a whopping 13.2-megapixel CMOS camera.

There’s also the promise of a water-resistant and shock-proof casing, and 32GB of internal memory. The phone is already available in Japan, and if you’re over there, you can choose from three colours; black, citrus and magenta.

Last year, Fujitsu and Toshiba have recently teamed up on the mobile phone business, and are attempting to break out into international markets.

More new Windows Phone devices look set to be revealed over the next few weeks; HTC’s forthcoming event looks set to offer up even more new Windows Phone goodness.
