Moments after HTC announced the Sensation XL with it’s XL 4.7-inch screen, Vodafone got in contact with us to let us know that it will be selling the Beats Audio-enhanced Android phone.
Sadly Vodafone couldn’t furnish us with any info regarding price of the HTC Sensation XL or even when abouts it would be arriving; just a quick tip to let us know that it would be getting the XL.
The HTC Sensation XL is the latest in HTC’s Sensation line-up of Android phones. It’s got that huge aforementioned 4.7-inch screen (800 x 480 WVGA), an 8-megapixel main camera (720p video recording, f/2.2 aperture, back-lit sensor, dual LED flash) a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and a chunky 16GB of on board memory – no microSD slot though.
Xtra large Titan
Specification-wise the Sensation XL looks a lot like the HTC Titan, the obvious difference being that it’s an Android smartphone, running on 2.3.5 Gingerbread no less. The HTC Titan is of course HTC’s premier Windows Phone 7 device of the moment, announced last month and on sale now.
In other Sensational news, Vodafone also told us that the original HTC Sensation would be getting a temporary price cut – we’ve been told that for this weekend only, the Sensation can be hand on a £26 24 month contract for free.
Nothing has emerged over on Vodafone’s deals page yet, but we understand that the deal will give you 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB of data a month. This is the same as it’s current £26 deal in fact, the only difference being that the £199 price tag will be dropped.
More on both the Sensation XL coming to Vodafone and this £26 contract as soon as we hear anything new.
