LG Optimus Sol video leaks

Pictures have appeared online of what appears to be LG’s latest Android smartphone offering to its Optimus range.

The LG Optimus Sol (or E730) includes a 3.8-inch WVGA (800×480) screen and surprisingly LG has used AMOLED technology in a handset (the LG Optimus Black had a NOVA display), which has been manufactured by the company.

Powered by a 1Ghz procesor, the Sol runs Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, which has been skin includes the same user interface we’ve seen in the LG Optimus 2X. It includes a 5-megapixel camera, 3.5mm jack and microUSB and will be available in two colours: black and silver.

Despite quite impressive specs, it will reportedly have a 299 euro price point.

Although the phone has ‘not for resale’ on it and appears to be a protoype, it looks pretty near the finished version to. According to a leaked roadmap it was due to be released in Q3, which means it may be available any time now. It’s rumoured that the handset is destined for Vodafone, but there’s no news if it will come to the UK.
