Motorola Spyder leaked… or is it the Droid RAZR?

Golly, news of Motorola’s new products just keeps pouring in. This time it’s pictures of the unannounced Motorola Spyder, courtesy of This is my Next. Spec wise it’s no slouch, rocking a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, LTE connectivity, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p recording, and an “HD” front facing camera. It’s all wrapped up in Kevlar casing with Gorilla Glass covering the screen, so it should be able withstand more knocks and tumbles than your average smartphone.

The real star of the show though is the 4.3” 960×540 Super AMOLED display, a world first. 800×480 has been a long standing tradition on past smartphones with Super AMOLED displays, so it’s nice to finally see an increase in resolution, even if it’s not quite as crazy as the 1280×800 resolution found on the Samsung Galaxy Note.

But wait, there’s more! The Spyder may just be the codename for the device. According to another source tipping TIMN, the phone is labelled as the Droid RAZR in the About section of Android’s settings. Are Motorola just about to reintroduce one of the most iconic cellphone brands in history?

There aren’t any details regarding price or availability for the US yet, let alone the UK, but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear more.
