Nokia N8 shown running new Symbian Anna

Nokia’s final Symbian hurrah, Symbian Anna, has been seen running very happily on the Nokia N8.

This video, en Espanol, from MyNokiaBlog, shows the N8 doing exactly that. You can see Nokia’s bizarre “split-screen” feature; it’s Nokia’s way of saying “we’ve finally got a portrait keyboard”, without saying “we’ve finally got a portrait keyboard.”

On video is José María Gabaldon, manager of Nokia Technology Acceptance in Peru.

He shows us through the Symbian system, showing those two keyboard layouts, a bit of the web-browser, and spends some time with the overhauled Ovi Maps app.

Nokia’s newly announced Nokia X7 and Nokia E6 will both arrive with the new Symbian Anna.
The Nokia X7 borrows heavily on the N8’s looks, although it doesn’t pack the same brilliant photography kit; meaning the N8’s Carl Zeiss lens and eight-megapixel sensor.

Symbian Anna will bring a fresh lick of paint to Symbian, making the most of mobiles with high-quality screens, while their Ovi Maps app will also get a complete overhaul.
