Mobile operator Three has just made the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and all its TouchWiz-ardry goodness to the internet world via its website now, you can pick one up in-store at Three from 25th May. The device is available free on the £22 per month Essential Internet 500 plan, offering 250MB of internet, 500 minutes and 5,000 texts each month.
You can also pick up the handset on Pay As You Go for £229.99 and pair it up with one of Three’s contract-free SIMs. All in One costs £15 and provides 30-day access to all-you-can-eat data, 300 any-network minutes and 3,000 texts. All in One 25 costs £25 and offers all-you-can-eat data, 500 minutes and 3,000 texts.
Upgrading from the Samsung Galaxy Ace, the Galaxy Ace 2 offers a faster dual-core 800MHz processor with 768MB RAM and the addition of HSDPA to the original 3G, all in all make the device much faster. On-board storage-wise the Ace 2 has a worthy 4GB, which can be further expanded with a microSD card. It’ll run Android 3.2 Gingerbread, but include Samsungs UI “skin”, Touchwiz.
The phone sports a sharper 3.8-inch screen at 800×480 (WVGA) and a decent 5-megapixel camera with autoflash and a front-facing camera for voice calls via Google Talk. The Galaxy Ace 2 also boasts 720p HD video recording, making this a nifty little recording device.
Music is the name of the game with the addition of Music Hub to the device, offering access to 13 million songs, plus a Game Hub to keep your thumbs drumming and Social Hub to keep you up-to-date with all your social networks.
