Samsung Galaxy S2 Ice Cream Sandwich update available on Three

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S2 on Three will soon be able to access the update to Android 4.0: Ice Cream Sandwich.

Pocket-Lint is reporting the update has been rolled out to Three customers and is now available to download via Samsung Kies, but it is not yet available over the air.

Samsung confirmed the Galaxy S2 would be getting the ICS update on March 19th, but Three is the first UK network to roll out the update and fairly quickly too – just a day after it’s available.

O2, Orange and Vodafone all sell the phone, but have yet to confirm when the Android 4.0 update will be rolling out, let us know if you are on any of these networks and receive notification of the update.

We tried out the Samsung Galaxy S2 last week with a final version of Android 4.0: Ice Cream Sandwich, which will look near identical to the update.. Check out the video below in which we compare ICS to Android 2.3 Gingerbread to see the differences between the two operating systems.
