Samsung Galaxy S3: Hands-on video

Announced with much fanfare at Samsung Unpacked at Earls Court and due to hit the high street at the end of May, we’ve got a juicy hands on video with the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Samsung’s newly announced flaship phone sits pretty with its 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display and quad-core Exynos processor. It’s slender and sleek, feeling something like a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and an HTC One X’s love child, and looks smooth and curvaceous with a nice flushed flat fascia, brushed metal effect trimmings and a rich, high-grade plastic backing.

Inspired by nature, the Samsung Galaxy S3 doesn’t just resemple a pebble in form with its rounded removable back cover, it also offers a user interface called TouchWiz Nature UX. This flows and glides with fluid transitions and a rippling unlock screen. It reminds us of the UI seen on Huawei devices showcased at CES, just offering more polish, and delivers a much more stock look and feel than TouchWiz of old.

Overall, with the multitude of services on board the Samsung Galaxy S3, the fantastic hardware and accessories that can be bought seperately, we can’t help but hold high hopes for Samsung’s next flagship. Will the reality live up to the hype? We’ll have to wait and see, but in the meantime, enjoy this in-depth hands-on video taken at Earl’s court at the launch event.
