Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini spotted yet again

Remember the Galaxy S4 Mini? The smaller version of Samsung’s flagship for this year first leaked back in March, and now we’re seeing some clearer pictures of the 4.3-inch device. The photos first appeared on Chinese social networking site Sina Weibo, showing a design that’s almost identical to the Galaxy S4, just in a smaller chassis.

Measurements for the device have also been detailed, with the Galaxy S4 Mini reportedly measuring around 8mm thick. That’s not bad a for a rumoured mid-range device – manufacturers don’t usually care about trimming down the thickness on anything other than flagship handsets.

The photos also give us a better look at the textured pattern adorning the front and back of the device, again mimicking the Galaxy S4. In terms of specifications, the original leak suggested that the phone would carry a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a 960×540 resolution, as well as a dual-core processor clocked at 1.6Ghz.

There’s no word on what the Galaxy S4 Mini will cost, but the Galaxy S3 Mini came in significantly cheaper than Samsung’s 2012 flagship, the Galaxy S3. As for when the company might release the handset, recent rumours have suggested that Samsung could officially announce it by the end of May. The previously rumoured Galaxy S4 Active and Galaxy S4 Zoom are also believed to be revealed around the same time.
