Samsung Galaxy S4 finally leaks on camera: Features dual SIM support?

Wholly uninspiring or a thing of beauty? The Galaxy S4 is just three days away from its official unveiling in New York, but these photos might offer an early peek behind the curtain at one potential design for the forthcoming flagship.

Sure it has all the signs of being a high-end Samsung device and it also features elements never before seen in Sammy’s product range but we’re holding judgement on whether or not this is the final design of the Samsung Galaxy S4, even if it is a potential candidate, until Thursday.

The photos which feature here come courtesy of Chinese blog 52Samsung, but were then picked up by SammyHub. The device in the photographer’s hand looks more S3 than the leaked cases and other hearsay have suggested (pointing at a more squared design that what we see before us). The large Galaxy device is said to be a Chinese-specific variant of the new flagship, which along with the Full HD 4.99-inch display also sports dual SIM functionality.

Although Samsung are known for bringing out dual SIM variants of high-end devices, we’ve never known of a flagship Samsung Android phone undergo this treatment. Having said that, the Korean company’s devices has shot up in popularity in China in recent months, which might have resulted in a greater focus on catering to the Chinese market.

Beyond the purported dual SIM functionality, this potential S4 has a visible pattern across the body, both front and back, a centrally mounted camera – suspected to sport a 13-megapixel sensor, with a centrally mounted LED flash and runs Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. On top of the aesthetic, the Galaxy S4 is suspected to feature 2GB of RAM and a 1.8GHz octa-core processor, elements we’ll be able to discover for ourselves following Thursday’s launch.
