Alongside its new range of Android tablets, Sony Ericsson has revealed a new addition to it’s premium Xperia smartphone range, and it’s a sequel.
The Xperia Arc S now has meaty 1.4GHz processor alongside the ability to create 3D panorama pictures when connected to compatible TV sets. (Photos taken will be two-dimensional, but with some processor magic, will appear on sets in 3D.)
The phone itself looks pretty similar to the original Xperia Arc; the press shots show that there will definitely be a white version arriving, and it’ll presumably be compatible with those livedock accessories we saw last week.
Like the Xperia Arc, you’ll get the awesome Exmor R camera sensor, Bravia Mobile display technology for deeper colours in your photos and videos. It appears to have the same-sized screen, but we’re still waiting to confirm this.
Set for an October 2011 launch globally, we’ll let you know once we hear pricing and more specific launch dates.
