The 12-megapixel Camera on the upcoming Sony Xperia S is to be one of its key features. Being released with some impressive multimedia specs such as a 4.3-inch 720×1280 screen, the handset will offer pixel-density to better that of the iPhone 4 and display the high resolution photos taken on it incredibly.
That said, one of our worries was how the 12-megapixel photos would be handled on the phone’s dual-core processor. Given that the highest end handsets expected for MWC will be rocking quad-core engines, it’s an understandable question. Fortunately, Xperia Blog have put us out of our misery.
In this video, we can very clearly see the rate at which photos are continuously captured on the Sony Xperia S’ 12-megapixel camera. While there isn’t the zero shutter lag of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, it’s still a fast mover and capturing over double the number of pixels as Samsung’s offering, appears perfectly adequate.
