Vodafone has just told Recombu that it’ll be selling the new iPad. Much like Three’s announcement from last night this is just a heads up, a nod and a nudge that the new Apple tablet is coming to Vodafone; no word on pricing or release dates just yet.
We already know a little bit about this already from Apple; the new iPad is coming next Friday the 16th of March and the 16GB 3G 4G and Wi-Fi edition is going to cost £499.
Though prices are strictly controlled by Apple we’ll of course be waiting to see how Vodafone prices up its monthly data plans.
Currently, £15 a month on Vodafone gets you 2GB of data with 1GB of BT Openzone Wi-Fi access plus £15 for each extra 1GB if you go over. If you’re buying an iPad 2 on contract then it’s £27 a month.
We’re expecting a full official announcement in due course so stay tuned for details.
