Xperia Arc Black coming exclusively to Orange

Orange have managed to land their own special version of the curiously curved Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc.

The Xperia Arc Black will join both the Neo and Play in Orange’s shops. No word on the Xperia Pro yet.

The Xperia Arc will have Android Gingerbread, as well as HDMI connectivity to your TV for displaying photos and video. It weighs just under 120g.

The phone itself tapers to a mere 8.7mm at its thinnest, but has sadly been trumped by today’s announcement of Samsung’s Galaxy S II, which is even thinner throughout .

But don’t worry- size isn’t everything. Sony Ericsson have borrowed heavily from Sony’s broad consumer electronics background, and it isn’t just the PlayStation-branded Xperia Play that has benefited.

The 4.2-inch touch-screen will be the first to have Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA® Engine, which “delivers exceptional visual brilliance and a crystal clear image.”

Pillaging Sony’s photography expertise, all three phones will have the award-winning Exmor sensor with an f/2.4 lens, promising high quality photos and video even in low light. In really low light, the phones also have an LED flash.
