Alfa Romeo 4C ‘Definitiva’ concept to use twin-turbo Ferrari V8

We absolutely love the Alfa Romeo 4C, but like just about anything, it could be improved if it had a tad more power.

Italian tuning firm Lazzarini Design seemingly agrees, because it’s revealed plans to create a Ferrari-powered monster 4C ‘Definitiva’ that’ll blitz just about anything in its path.

Lazzarini Design plans to remove the standard 4C engine, replacing it with a 4.3-litre Ferrari V8 mated to a pair of turbochargers from Hennessey.

The blistering performance is facilitated by a heap of enlightweightenment, to coin a word we’ve just made up.Total power is expected to reach 738bhp with 532lb ft of torque allowing for a 0-62mph time of, wait for it, 2.5 seconds. No, that’s not a typo. Want the quarter mile time? How about 9.5 seconds at 137mph – that’s superbike territory, chums.

The blistering performance is facilitated by a heap of enlightweightenment, to coin a word we’ve just made up, in the form of carbon fibre body panels. It also has a new rear bumper, centre-mounted exhaust, and a improved suspension.

Obviously, the Alfa Romeo 4C Definitiva doesn’t actually exist – it’s just a concept. But if you’ve got the cash (£200,000) and the balls (gigantic) then Lazzarini Design will build one for you.
