Bowers & Wilkins unveils Maserati Edition headphones and speakers

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Maserati Edition audio gear offers ‘luxury listening’.

Those who love the trident-bearing Italian manufacturer can now get their hands on a pair of Maserati headphones and loudspeakers, courtesy of luxury audio company Bowers & Wilkins. Prepare to dig deep.

The P5 Maserati Edition headphones are based on the standard P5 offerings down to their internals but have a Maserati trident emblem on the headband and on the quilted leather travel pouch used to carry them around. A distinctive deep blue leather has been used to further emphasise the Maserati branding.

The luxury cans come with a Made for iPhone-approved cable for voice control and a standard audio cable with ‘gold plated plugs’ for use with other devices such as a home stereo.

Bowers & Wilkins has based its 805 Maserati Edition loudspeakers on the 800 Series Diamond range. A mixture of bird’s eye maple wood veneer and black Maserati leather give the loudspeaker a unique look. Speaker stands made of the same materials are also included.

A pair of B&W P5 Maserati Edition headphones will set you back £329.99 from the Maserati Store or from Bowers & Wilkins. The standard P5 headphones cost £249.95 so you’ve really got to love the Italian brand to shell out the extra.

If you thought that was expensive, keep reading. The 805 Maserati Edition loudspeaker is priced at – wait for it – £7,500 for the pair and is available from Bowers & Wilkins retailers. As beautiful as they are, that’s a lot of coinage.

Bowers & Wilkins is responsible for the 15-speaker audio system found in the Maserati Quattroporte and Ghibli.
