Dash cam video shows Boeing 747 crash at Bagram air base

A vehicle’s dashboard camera has captured footage of the disturbing moment a Boeing 747 crashed following take off from Bagram air force base in Afghanistan.

The 747, operated by National Airlines, was filmed climing at what appears to be an incredibly steep nose-up attitude. It can be seen rolling to its left, then right while attempting to continue its climb before appearing to stall. It plummeted to the ground adjacent to a road just outside the air base.

All seven onboard perished in the crash. Our thoughts go out to all the families and friends of those involved.

The US National Transportation Safety Board and Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority are currently investigating the cause of the crash. Footage of the incident can be seen below, but be warned it contains graphic images and sound.
