Driving instructor leads police on a 120mph chase

Driving instructor leads police on a high speed chase because he was desperate to go to the toilet.

A driving instructor was so desperate to go to the toilet that he ended up speeding home, resulting in a high-speed police chase and a conviction for dangerous driving. Andrew Parton of Aberdeenshire, Scotland, drove past a police speed trap at 86mph on the A90.

Despite being chased by police, the 49-year-old decided to increase his speed, undertaking traffic and hitting speeds of up to 120mph. Police officers initially struggled to catch up with Mr Parton, even when he slowed down his Audi A4 to avoid triggering a speed camera (bit late to be worrying about that, surely?).

Footage of the chase shows Mr Parton failing to slow down whilst he was being chased by the police. Amazingly, despite breaking the 70mph speed limit in force, he still denied a charge of driving with excessive speed.

Mr Parton told the court he had been driving at around 85mph and had accelerated to make it to Peggy Scott’s restaurant in Finavon before he eventually soiled himself.

Mr Parton was found guilty, has been disqualified from driving for two years and ordered to pay a £350 fine.
