The Frankfurt Motorshow is just around the corner, which can only mean one thing: a veritable torrent of concept cars is about to be unleashed upon the automotive world. The latest to appear is the Kia Niro, which is the Korean company’s answer to the Nissan Juke.
Kia says the Niro will slot neatly into the ‘b-segment’ niche, which also includes such cars as the Ford Fiesta, Vauxhall Corsa and its own Rio. However, unlike those cars, its raised ride height and faux-by-four aesthetics lend it a sense of ruggedness.
Kia describes the Niro as having a “mischievous character in a clearly robust and substantial yet stylish body shape featuring a mix of contrasting materials – including stainless steel elements – in compact, purposeful dimensions.”
We’ll let you be the judge of that. Hopefully the company will actually build the thing and hopefully the end product won’t be too far removed from the concept design. Have a gander at the photos below and let us know how you feel about it.
