Kia VR7 models endowed in the spec department

Kia VR7 Cee’d, Picanto and Rio special editions offer a generous spec sheet.

Kia has announced a new special edition specification for its Cee’d, Picanto and Rio models that you can get your mitts on now. The VR7 badge brings with it a higher standard specification and savings to be had.

All VR7 models benefit from a number of goodies as standard including a leather trimmed steering wheel and gear knob, air-conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports and an AUX connection for your MP3 player.

Exterior extras include alloy wheels, reversing sensors, electric front and rear windows (depending on the model, of course) and electrically adjustable heated door mirrors.

There’s also the option of Kia’s Care-3 servicing plan for £99 instead of £299 for the Picanto and Rio and £329 for the Cee’d if you want peace of mind, plus a discount of £1,000 on selected models.

Kia has added extras specific to each model to further sweeten the deal. The VR7 Picanto, for instance, benefits from a black radiator grille, black upholstery and chrome exterior door handles, while the VR7 Rio has body-coloured bumpers, exterior door handles and door mirrors.

The standard VR7 Cee’d includes 16-inch wheels, black ‘abstract cloth’, steering wheel mounted controls and a rear spoiler. In its pricier Sportswagon form, projection headlights, front fog lights and daytime running lights, 12v power outlet and roof rails complete the package.

All models come with Kia’s generous 7-year/100,000 mile warranty. Prices start at £8,795 for the three-door Picanto VR7 1.0-litre 5-speed manual, rising to £14,995 for the Cee’d Sportswagon VR7 1.4-litre 6-speed manual.
