Fed up with your hyper-fast Mercedes AMG S 63 hyper-limo? Bored by its paltry 585hp and 900Nm of torque? Mansory is too – which is why it’s created a bat**** crazy ‘refinement’ that produces up to 1,000hp.
That number, in case you’re clueless about cars, is absolutely epic. It’s more than almost anything, including the current flagship La Ferrari, McLaren P1 – hell only those sorts of numbers are usually only found in bespoke megacars such as the Bugatti Veyron, so to find one in what is essentially a luxury limo is quite astounding.
Mansory offers two versions of its tuned S 63. The M800 increases power to 800hp and 1,200Nm, which is good for 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds. The M1000, as the name suggests, cranks the output to 1000hp and 1,400Nm (about two Porsche 911s worth), facilitating 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 300khm.
How has Mansory achieved this? By throwing a bonnet-load of tweaks at the S 63, that’s how. The modded car has uprated versions of just about everything in the standard engine, including connecting rods, big end bearings, crankshaft, bearing bushings, turbocharger, suction and compressor system.
Scary, huh? If you want one then head over to Mansory.com to register your interest.
