If you’re put off by the Maserati GranTurismo coupe because it simply doesn’t have enough usable seats for you and your harem of, ahem, friends then we have good news. Maserati has made a proper four-seat version of the GT known as the GranTurismo MC Stradale.
Unlike the 2+2 GranTurismo, whose “+2” seats at the rear were only large enough for toddlers and dwarves, the new GranTurismo MC Stradale has “four comfortable seats” and a tweaked interior that will give your passengers something to coo at while they’re busy contemplating how to stay in your good books.
Outside, the Maserati GT MC Stradale takes its styling cues from the racing version which competes in the Maserati Trofeo Championship. Highlights include new forged 20-inch alloys and a new carbon fibre bonnet.
Like the two-seater version, the GranTurismo MC Stradale uses a 4.7-litre 460hp naturally aspirated V8 engine paired with a six-speed robotised manual gearbox. Expect a 188mph top speed and brisk acceleration, provided your passengers don’t weigh the thing down too much.
The Maserati GranTurismo GranTurismo MC Stradale will go on show at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show alongside an all-new Quattroporte. We’ll have more on both cars as we get it.
