83-year-old Worcester Park resident pronounced dead at the scene.
An unnamed 83-year-old pensioner died after falling out of a moving vehicle. The incident happened around 11:30am on Manor Drive in Worcester Park, according to the Kingston Guardian.
“Extensive efforts were made to resuscitate him but sadly he died at the scene,” a London Ambulance spokesperson told the local newspaper.
Reports say the accident happened at a low-speed. “At this stage it is thought that the man fell onto the pavement from a slow moving vehicle. He was not struck by any other vehicles. Enquiries are ongoing,” a Kingston police official commented.
Exactly what caused the pensioner to fall out and whether he was driving at the time is currently unknown.
Manor Road was closed but has since reopened.
