What do you buy for the person who has everything? Well often the best solution is not to buy them a ‘thing’ at all – the smart money is on creating lasting memories.
Case in point; Recombu’s own Rory Reid, a man who’s driven just about every car worth being seen in, recently tried his arm at flying a plane and definitely won’t be forgetting it any time soon.
The Top Gear presenter hooked up with Virgin Experience Days to enjoy a flying lesson, and was so taken with the experience, we probably shouldn’t be surprised if he permanently ditched four wheels in favour of two wings.
Reid headed to his local airfield, strapped into the hotseat of a Cessna 172 and was given a thorough lesson on how to pilot the light aircraft before taking the controls for himself. In the video, shot for Recombu’s YouTube channel, he can be seen practicing a variety of manoeuvres including climbing, diving, banking and turning the plane, while enjoying beautiful views above the city of London.
