Skoda Yeti, Octavia and Superb Tour de France editions wheeled out

Limited edition Tour de France Skodas are bicycle friendly and very rare.

Perfect timing if you were in the market for a limited edition Skoda Octavia, Superb or Yeti that celebrates the annual Tour de France push-bike race. Skoda has just announced a Tour de France limited edition for each of the aforementioned.

The Skoda Octavia Octavia, Superb and Yeti Tour de France (aka TdF) come with unique ‘le Tour de France’ badges, waterproof seat covers for keeping your sweaty buttocks of the upholstery and bike wheel bags. You also get a copy of the Rouleur Tour de France book and entry into a VIP competition.

Just 198 examples of each model will be built, either in red, white or blue (the colours of the UK and France, in case you were wondering). 198 was chosen because there are that many entrants into this year’s race. Comprende?

The Yeti TdF uses the Outdoor SE 2.0-litre TDI 140PS 4×4 model as a basis. It comes with an Amundsen sat nav, keyless entry and start system, floor mats, DAB digital radio and an internal bike rack.

The Superb TdF (based on the Estate Outdoor 2.0-litre TDI 140PS 4×4) comes with all of the above and a space saver spare wheel and boot net programme. The Octavia TdF, which is based on the Estate SE 2.0-litre TDI 150PS 4×4, also has the same extras save for a roof-mounted bike rack and roof bars instead of an internal bike rack.

Skoda is a global partner of the famous cycling race, which starts on July 5th, 2014. The race has nine flat stages, five hill stages, six mountain stages with 5 altitude finishes, one individual time-trial and two days of much-needed rest. It covers 3,635km.

The Yeti, Octavia and Superb TdF start from £23,490, £24,290 and £28,490, respectively. Head to your nearest Skoda purveyor to get your name on the list.
