Smart Fortwo now comes in a grandstyle edition flavour.
The pint-sized city runaround that is the Smart Fortwo has been given a makeover. The grandstyle edition, which is on sale now, offers an improved spec and slightly tweaked aesthetics.
Smart’s Fortwo grandstyle edition comes in coupé and cabrio formats. The former has a panoramic roof and the latter has a fully automatic soft top. Two turbocharged petrol engines, a 71bhp mhd and 84bhp, are available. Both are cheap to run and tax, with the mhd achieving a claimed 65.7mpg and 103g/km of CO2 emissions.
15-inch double-spoke alloys in black, LED daytime running lights, headlamps with ‘titanium coloured surrounds’ and various grandstyle logos compliment a choice of five exterior and tridion colours (secondary colour).
A leather two-spoke steering wheel, cup holder and a 6.5-inch touch screen infotainment system with navigation help make the interior feel more special. Those who want heated seats and electric, heated door mirrors can shell out a few quid for the optional Comfort Package.
“Smart has always been small and stylish but the grandstyle edition moves it up a level. Everything about the grandstyle edition is designed to enhance driver enjoyment, and it’s a car that will create a real stir in its sector,” Mercedes-Benz UK chief executive officer Gary Savage commented.
The Smart Fortwo grandstyle edition is available now from £10,330.
