The UK’s electric car show is back

Tesla, Red Dwarf star Robert Llewellyn, BMW and Nissan among the names at the free 2016 ElectrAA National Vehicle Show, which takes place in Worcestershire.

The show is hoping to tempt petrolheads away from combustion engines with a variety of exhibits, including the ability to test drive electric cars and motorbikes from various manufacturers such as Zero Motorcycles, ChargedEV and Electric Classic Cars.

Actor, presenter and electric car fan Robert Llewellyn and Simon Crowfoot of the Electric Highway will be in attendance to talk about the electric car revolution. The team behind taking a BMW i3 from Land’s End to John O’Groats in record time will also make an appearance.

Electric Highway managing director Crowfoot said: “This unique event will enable members of the public to test drive a range of the latest models of electric car from the world’s top manufacturers all in one place.”

He added: “It doesn’t take long to persuade a petrolhead to ditch the internal combustion engine. Once you put your foot down on the accelerator of even an entry-level electric car, you feel the instant torque and realise that electric cars are the future. So we are looking forward to turning heads and changing minds next weekend.”

ElectrAA is in its third year, having started life in 2014. It is taking place at the Malvern Theatres and Priory Park in Great Malvern, Worcestershire on the 4th of September, 2016. Entry is free and gates open at 11am.
