In the market for a spoof episode of Top Gear that involves an armchair with two chain guns, a fairly bad Jeremy Clarkson impression and a Stig clone? Of course you are.
The video game Saints Row: Gat out of Hell (what do you mean you don’t know who Meatloaf is?) has released a trailer called Gat Gear. Saints Row, for those unfamiliar, is a slightly crazier Grand Theft Auto wannabe that has won itself a legion of fans who love chaos, guns and violence.
Viewers will be treated to nigh-on four minutes of the Stag (the Stig was on holiday) cruising around London annoying cab and bus drivers while sitting in the Armchair-a-geddon, with Clarkson doing his best to describe the events in a way only he can.
It all ends with a quick spin around the Gat Gear ‘top secret’ test facility, which is apparently located just off the B1399 near Horton cum Beckering in Lincolnshire. That’s actually a place, by the way.
In no way is Gat Gear better than the real thing, but the attention to detail is spot on. Wonder what the real Jeremy Clarkson would think of it? Or more accurately, his lawyer?
Saints Row IV: Gat out of Hell and Saints Row IV: Re-elected are available as digital downloads on the PlayStation Store or Xbox Live. The standalone expanion is available on PS3, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One now.
