We see you, 2014 Renault Megane – shaking that, er, facelift.

Renault has always been especially proud of its cars’ rear end design – specifically the curvaceous backside of its evergreen Megane. (Remember the shakin’that ass adverts?). Now its attentions appear to have turned towards the front of its vehicles, with the company unleashing a new-look Megane family set to go on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

All 2014 Renault Megane models, including the hatchback, coupe, estate (aka Sport Tourer), the sporty GT Line models and the top-of-the-range Renaultsport 265 Cup, will feature the new front end design.

Changes appear relatively minor at first glance, but add up to a quite significant overhaul. The Renault Badge is now enormous in comparison to the previous car, the bumper has a more sculpted design, its headlights have gloss black backgrounds and the LED day-running lights have been upved from just below the headlights to the lower section of the bumper.

The new Renault Megane is due to go on sale in the UK in the first quarter of 2014.
