The BBC will make every performance from Proms 2014 available live and on-demand on BBC iPlayer.
Every Prom will be available in HD Sound with performances available to watch for 30 days after the performance.
As well as letting classical music fans catch up on or relive previous events, a highlights reel will also be accessible on the exclusive BBC iPlayer Proms collection.
If this wasn’t enough, music discovery plugin BBC Playlister will also let music lovers build playlists of their favourite BBC Proms presenters’ recommended works from the season. Any piece of music performed at the 2014 Proms can be tagged and added to BBC Playlister to add it to their own playlist.
The Proms is the latest event that’s seen the BBC use iPlayer and Red Button services in a creative and interactive way. Spectators of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics could pick from six live HD streams and last year Glastonbury fans could have their pick of six stages.
Highlights of this year’s Proms season includes performances from the Berlin Philharmonic, the first CBeebies Prom, sets from singer songwriters Rufus Wainwright and Paloma Faith (pictured) and the Pet Shop Boys musical homage to mathematician, computer scientist and codebreaker Alan Turing.
