BT Sport has signed up 19 year-old Arsenal and England star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain aka ‘The Ox’ as a regular guest presenter.
The rising football star will also feature in upcoming BT Sport adverts and will co-present BT Sport’s live coverage of Barclays Premier League matches when the service launched this August.
Alex said: “I am very pleased to be named as a BT Ambassador and to feature in the adverts and as a guest for BT Sport. As a young player, I hope I can bring some real insight into the Premier League, as part of the BT Sport team.”
Simon Green, head of BT Sport added: “We are thrilled that Alex has agreed to sign up for BT Sport. Alex is emerging as an international star, having broken into the senior team aged just 18.”
The Ox is the latest high profile sports star to be snapped up by BT Sport. Former Formula 1 star Jake Humphrey and Channel 4 racing presenter Clare Balding have also signed on to helm BT Sports news slots.

Details on exactly where you’ll be able to get BT Sport at the moment are thin on the ground. There’s been plenty of talk about BT selling its channels through Sky (and Sky subsequently refusing to advertise BT Sport on its Sky Sports channels) and BT’s plans to launch on BT Vision. Whether the channels will also be available via Virgin Media, Freesat and TalkTalk TV remains to be seen.
