Film 4+1 and Travel Channel come to Freeview, YouView and BT Vision

Film 4+1 and Travel Channel have moved onto the Freeview, YouView and BT Vision. 

This marks the first time that Film 4+1 has arrived on digital terrestrial TV, bringing timeshift joy to millions.

While the Film 4+1 channel has appeared as a listing in the programme guide (channel 45), Channel 4 tells us that it’s not actually launching until August 27. 

Travel Channel is a prime time channel that’s live now on Freeview and broadcasts between the hours of 6:00PM and 10:00PM.

Shows currently include Bizarre Foods America with Andrew Zimmern, Floyd Around the Med and Hotel Impossible but will eventually include more UK-produced shows such as Luxury Uncovered, starring Jenny Powell and athletics challenge show with the working title Man vs World starring Rob Bell.

Scripps, who own the Travel Channel, recently did a deal with Lovefilm which sees popular gluttony-fest Man vs Food available to watch on Lovefilm Instant. 

To get the new channels, simply retune your Freeview, YouView or BT Vision TV or set top box.
