BT Wi-fi has got in on the ground floor – and everywhere else – with free coverage for shoppers in Fenwick department stores from Canterbury to Newcastle.
Users can log in for the free service in 11 stores, adding to the 4.5 million BT Wi-fi hotspots around the UK.
Andy Baker, CEO of BT Wi-fi, said: “BT research shows that 44 per cent of shoppers now use their smartphone or tablet while on the move to read product reviews.

The shops are in: London New Bond Street and Brent Cross, Newcastle, Leicester, Windsor, York, Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Bentalls, Kingston upon Thames and Bracknell and Williams & Griffin in Colchester.
While the Fenwick’s department store WiFi is free to all shoppers, BT Wi-fi is usually free only to BT broadband and business customers, unless the venue allows free access.
