High speed wireless broadband hits Fantasy Island amusement park

Amusement park Fantasy Island in Ingoldmell, Lincolnshire has added its latest high speed attraction; wireless broadband.

Delivered under the onlincolnshire plans, Fantasy Island is now the beneficiary of wireless broadband provided by AB Internet.

As well as providing a faster service for the park management, visitors will also be able to make use of AB Internet’s fast wireless broadband.

Thanks to improved internet access, you’ll be able to more easily share pictures and video of your friends terrified faces

Speaking to thinkbroadband, James Parker from Fantasy Island said “High speed broadband will drastically improve the customer experience at Fantasy Island.

“We will be rolling out exciting new social media platforms over the next few years that would not have been possible without this. Making high speed broadband available throughout the area will bring the Lincolnshire coast into the 21st century.”

We’re not health and safety experts but we reckon posting pictures to Twitter while you’re riding the 55.9mph Millenium rollercoaster perhaps isn’t the best idea.

Outside of Fantasy Island, AB Internet will be setting up wireless transmitters that will provide coverage in Frithville, Old Leake, Sibsey, Stickney and Wrangle. The map here shows exactly where AB Internet will cover as part of the onlincolnshire plan.

Money from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) has been used to fund onlincolnshire, which aims to plug the many, mainly rural not-stops across the county. This is in addition to Broadband Delivery for the UK (BDUK) projects which will bring superfast broadband to 88 and 89 per cent of Lincolnshire and North and North East Lincolnshire respectively.
