If you’re a Virgin Media broadband subscriber, you probably already known that speed boosts – cranking people’s top download speeds up to 50Mbps, 100Mbps and 152Mbps – are rolling out across the network right now.
For some customers, this free upgrade has either already happened or it’ll be happening very soon. Some of you won’t see this update hit until later this year and some of you won’t see a boost until February next year.
What you might not know is there’s a way to jump up from 30Mbps, 60Mbps or 120Mbps right now.
If you’re an existing Virgin broadband customer, you can get bumped up to faster speeds if you sign up for a new contract.
Taking out one of the new Big Bundle deals or simply signing up for a new broadband service will see you getting the faster 50Mbps, 100Mbps or 152Mbps download speeds before they’re due to roll out in your postcode area.
The new Big Bundles start at £36.49/month for the Big Connection, which will get you 50Mbps broadband plus the Talk Weekends Home Phone package, line rental, a SIM-only mobile deal (unlimited calls, texts and 250MB of data a month).
50Mbps Broadband Only costs £26.50/month. There’s no line rental and you’ve got the option of adding a SIM-only mobile plan if you want.
If you want 50Mbps broadband and the Talk Weekends package from Virgin Media that’ll set you back £31.49/month (£15.50 for broadband and phone, £15.99 for Virgin line rental).
