ITV Player arrives on Now TV

NOW TV has finally added ITV to its streaming roster, finally completing its round-up of the terrestrial channels.

The ITV Player app will be automatically downloaded to NOW TV boxes, in a roll-out that is anticipated to take place over the coming weeks.

Finally -- ITV is on Now TV.

This update will give viewers access to the entire ITV catalogue of stations, including ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 and the CITV childrens TV station.

NOW TV owners will also be able to watch all of the upcoming World Cup matches, which will be available to stream on the ITV Player application. This is in addition to popular shows such as Coronation Street, Midsomer Murders and Emmerdale

Sky’s NOW TV platform is expected to undergo a major refresh later this month, with the home page being updated to offer a new look-and-feel that emphasizes ease of navigation.

June will also see the arrival of the BBC Sports app, which gives viewers the chance to catch up on sporting news, highlights and events.

The NOW TV box was launched in July 2013. It is based upon the hugely popular Roku Internet TV platform, and offers the ability to stream the five major terrestrial TV channels, in addition to a number of premium Sky channels.
