Laid in Chelsea: Gigabit fibre broadband comes to exclusive development

Residents of upmarket Chelsea development Kings Chelsea have got it made, as they’ll soon be able to access gigabit fibre broadband.

Keycom and Vision Fibre Media have teamed up to deliver next-gen fibre broadband to the exclusive development, which will let customers tap into speeds head and shoulders above those enjoyed by most UK homes.

Meri Braziel managing director of Keycom said: “The Government classifies speeds of 20Mbps and above as superfast broadband. The Kings Chelsea development offers speeds of 50Mbps, 100Mbps and 1Gbps.”

Keycom and Vision Fibre Media are the latest companies to install gigabit broadband in Chelsea. London-based fibre ISP Hyperoptic offered to connect parts of the borough including the Cheney Court development after the council had a rather public falling out with BT

BT and the local authority were able to patch things up and agree on a deal that would see superfast FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) and ultrafast FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) installed throughout the borough.
