Netflix has updates its Android app for tablets and smartphones, offering improved search and multiple profiles.
The app’s 3.1.0 update means that individual profiles can be set up, which will give users personalised recommendations and libraries when they log in.
When started up, the app asks who is watching and can then filter out queues and suggestions from others using the same account, such as other family members.
Read Recombu’s guide to NetflixNetflix introduced user profiles in August to allow each person in a household using the same account to have their own profile. New profiles can be added on the Netflix website.
Two months ago, the internet broadcaster also rolled out a significant update to its Android app which revamped the user interface and significantly improved performance.
Support for multiple profiles already features on iOS devices. The update has also improved search with support for people and related items, and is available now on Google Play.
