Netflix has updated its iOS app, letting those who’ve updated to iOS 7 enjoy HD streams with the Airplay streaming to TV feature.
For those of you who’ve still not seen the mercurial finale of Breaking Bad you’ll now be able to watch it at home on your TV in 1080p Full HD via your iPhone or iPad.
In order to do that you’ll need to disable AirPlay mirroring however. If you’d rather just watch on your iPhone or iPad, the update will let you enjoy 1080p streams on the small screen too.
Read Recombu Digital’s guide to NetflixWhether you’ll actually be able to discern a difference between 1080p and 720p on an older iPhone with a 3.5-inch screen is another matter.
Thanks to Netflix rolling out Super HD to every subscriber, you’ll be able to benefit from a better picture no matter how you choose to watch.
Netflix is available on the majority of Android phones and tablets, with selected Android 4.3 devices able to stream content in 1080p.
Netflix costs £5.99/month and is available on Windows and Mac machines, iOS, Android, all of the current-gen consoles (Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) and selected smart TVs and connected Blu-ray players.
