The on-demand platform aimed at non-Sky TV subscribers lets you tap into Sky’s premium Sky Movies and Sky Sports channels as well as Entertainment channels including Sky 1, Sky Living and Sky Atlantic.

All six Sky Sports channels including new channel Sky Sports 5 are available through Now TV, as is every Sky Movies channel.

Now TV has been available on the PlayStation 3 since May 2013 and Xbox 360 since August 2012. While the service was live and kicking ages before the PS4 and Xbox One hit the shelves, it wasn’t a launch service on either console

Fergal Gara, Vice President and Managing Director for Sony Computer Entertainment UK said: “PlayStation 4 has been a great success since we launched just over seven months ago, proving that the world’s most powerful console is also the best place to play.

“With the addition of the brilliant Now TV to the PlayStation entertainment proposition, PS4™ keeps getting better.”

A solid Xbox One release date hasn’t been announced but Sky has also revealed that Now TV will be hitting Microsoft’s green machine in the coming weeks.

Sky Sports content is available with a Sky Sports Day Pass (£9.99/day) and all 11 Sky Movies channels, which give you up to 4 new premieres each week, can be yours for £8.99/month.

The Sky Movies Month Pass durrently features over 800 films including The Wolverine, Kick Ass 2 and Captain Philips

The £4.99/month Sky Entertainment pass gives you access to shows including Silicon Valley (Sky Atlantic), Geordie Shore (MTV), 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy (Sky 1), the fourth season of Nikita (Sky Living) and the return of Got to Dance (Sky 1).

Director of Now TV Gidon Katz added: “We’re excited to be able to unveil yet another fantastic way to watch Now TV – offering the huge number of PS4 customers in the UK a contract-free and flexible way of watching great pay TV content on their television.”

It is also available on a wide variety of devices and platforms including Windows, Mac, iOS, Android smartphones and tablets, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, YouView, selected LG smart TVs plus Apple TV, Roku boxes and Sky’s very own £10 Now TV Box.
